Beyond the B.A.R. Consulting and Strategies is powered by the distinct, complementary expertise of its co-founders:

The Company was founded in 2025 by three colleagues who have a desire to redefine organizational excellence, while fostering a future where all institutions operate with unwavering equity, strategic foresight, and a culture where every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive, even amidst dynamic and challenging external environments. We provide a holistic suite of services designed to foster resilient, equitable, and high-performing organizations.

Bryonne Cummings

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PSYCHOLOGIST

Bryonne Cummings

Bryonne “Bree” Cummings is a skilled operations professional with 15 years of public service. She is experienced in analyzing existing business processes and implementing improvements to simplify the experience and drive efficiencies. She firmly believes that organizations become better when they are open to discussing real and perceived obstacles and exploring solutions to overcome them.

​She has served in entities championing employment work programs and has extensive experience in the Kansas City government, where she worked in both juvenile and adult diversion programs. As an Auditor for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, she found her calling as an efficiency champion, ensuring compliance with guidelines and optimizing processes for organizational value. She also worked in higher education, where she coordinated data compilation, including report preparation and analysis, and related functions to improve data access and analysis for college leadership, academic support units, state and federal agencies, and other stakeholders. She began her tenure in Harris County managing a historic misdemeanor bail reform project in 2020. She currently focuses on driving equity and inclusive economic growth in communities that experience disparities and disinvestment in Harris County through policy. She has a Master of Science in Organizational Development Psychology with a Graduate Project Management Certificate and a Bachelor’s in Psychology.

Dr. Arelia Johnson

Dr. Johnson is a seasoned facilitator and trainer with two decades of experience, beginning at Yates High School. Dr. Johnson has co-facilitated workshops on allyship, created a learning and development curriculum, and has the ability to interact with audiences from 5 people to 500. During her tenure in Houston ISD, she led development sessions on differentiated instruction, note-taking, the psychology of the STAAR test, and cross-curriculum teaching methods. Dr. Johnson was not only the lead ELAR teacher, but she also increased ELAR scores from 64% passing to 91% in one school year. Her tenure in public education was in Title IX schools where she continued to increase test scores in Dallas ISD, D.C. Public Schools, and Prince George's County.

Due to Dr. Johnson's research and prior educational experience, she was selected by the Chief of Juvenile Probation to be the first Equity Training Specialist, where she created, vetted, and implemented department-wide training on equity, diversity, inclusion, gender, organizational culture, and transformation. Dr. Johnson created and co-facilitated the Harris County Juvenile Probation Ally Program, taught teachers in JPD how to utilize cross-curriculum teaching strategies, and launched Trap Academy, a racial disparities program for middle and high school students. She also provided a full-service facilitation and training menu to Arms Wide Adoption Services, inclusive of an equity audit, foundational organization-specific training, an equity statement, and both an equity-centered plan with implementation framework.

Rochelle Ramnarine 

Ms. Ramnarine is an analytical business operations expert with 15 years of public service. She has worked closely with directors and C-suite executives, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both the operational and strategic logistics that drive successful business and organizational systems. This dual perspective, working with executives while optimizing internal infrastructure, has equipped her with the insight to align vision with execution across sectors.

Rochelle’s career spans 15 years in pivotal roles across the spectrum of social services and civil rights, including nine years of emergency assistance working with clients and executives, and more recently with Harris County operations, finance, and inaugural office dedicated to human and civil rights. During her time at Harris County, she worked with integral departments to create effective and streamlined organization and financial processes. She advanced into hands-on positions exclusively focused on managing projects that advanced DEI initiatives. She has designed curricula, data collection methods, and KPI metrics. Her educational background includes a B.S. in Computer Science and Business Administration, an MBA in Managerial Accounting and Business Analytics, and she is in the final stages of earning her Doctorate in Business Administration. Her unique blend of technical expertise, creative insight, business acumen, and social consciousness brings a powerful mix of strategy and human-centered design to business. She brings ideas to life by shaping them into practical frameworks that produce meaningful results. Her ability to drive the advancement of operational excellence through a DEI lens makes her an invaluable asset to mission-driven organizations. Rochelle’s experiences in strategic business planning allow her to see businesses from a 360 perspective.
